What's the difference between electrical tape and high temperature tape

Electrical tape:

Electrical tape, also known as electrical insulating tape or insulating tape, but its full name is actually PVC electrical insulating tape. It mainly has good insulation, flame resistance, voltage resistance, cold resistance and other characteristics. It is a kind of tape used by electricians to prevent electric leakage and play an insulating role. Moreover, it also has certain strength and flexibility, can wrap the joint tightly for a long time, is dry and fixed under the influence of time and temperature, will not fall off, and is flame retardant.

Electrical tape can be used for various electrical parts. Such as winding of wire joints, repair and restoration of insulation damage, insulation protection of various motors and electronic parts such as transformers, motors, capacitors and voltage regulators. It can also be used for binding, fixing, lapping, repairing, sealing and protection in industrial process.

High temperature adhesive tape:

High temperature adhesive tape has good non adhesion, corrosion resistance, high and low temperature resistance, moisture resistance and excellent insulation performance. It can be used even in some harsh environments, and the temperature resistance can reach 260 ℃ for long-term use. Moreover, it also has low friction, wear resistance, no residual glue, no edge warping and no falling off after baking. High temperature tape can be used in many special industries and high temperature environment. For example, it can be commonly used in painting, baking leather processing, coating shielding, fixing in the process of electronic parts, printed circuit board and high temperature treatment shielding, etc.

It can be seen that electrical tape and high-temperature tape are not the same product. High temperature adhesive tape is an adhesive tape used in high temperature operation environment. Ordinary electrical tape is mainly made of soft PVC film as the base material and coated with rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive. Although it has good insulation, flame resistance, voltage resistance, cold resistance and other characteristics, the electrical tape of this material is not resistant to high temperature and cannot be used as high temperature tape.
